Whether on the building site or in the office, the purpose-designed training van means roofing contractors can ensure their fixers are fully trained without losing time on site and potential earnings.
“Our free service is designed to help contractors keep up with the latest developments to meet air tightness requirements, wind loading requirements and other legally required standards,” says Technical Manager Peter Reilly. “All too often training is overlooked because it takes up valuable time away from work. Our i-Van training facility brings essential knowledge where it’s needed, easily fitted into the working day.
“SFS’ experts will introduce the latest fastener innovations, helping you to evaluate new products and tools whether you are a contracts manger, estimator, director or contractor. Our most recent fasteners and techniques are revolutionising on-roof time, fixing performance and minimising damage. However, contractors often don’t get the chance to find out about these innovations if they buy from importers; they just receive the same old-style fasteners because that’s what’s always been ordered and supplied.”
The mobile van includes a 42inch wide screen display training videos and a range of tools and fasteners for attendees to try for themselves. There’s also the chance to consult with the experts, all in a short space of time and without leaving the office.
Further mobile demonstrations will showcase SFS intec’s latest aids to make site stock checking and ordering logistics simpler, quicker and virtually error free.
