New high power screwgun is a force to be reckoned with

SFS intec has launched the new DI650 Screwgun to meet the changing needs of the roofing and cladding installer.

12 December 2011

Developed off the back of user feedback on the purpose designed DI600 power tool, the DI650 is the next generation in power tool design.

With an improved power range of 650W and the flexibility to work with all current SFS tool adaptors, the DI650 Screwgun can be used on a wider array of applications than previous models.  The new 'click' release power cord feature also enables users to quickly change power in the event of damage without taking the whole tool apart.

Peter Reilly, Technical Manager at SFS intec commented; "It's essential that contractors and installers have the most effective tools to hand onsite and that those tools perform safely and efficiently to get the job done. All too often, fixers buy any old type of power tool to install increasingly bespoke self drilling fasteners. And it is this incorrect tool selection that often results in fixture failure during the installation process, rather than the fastener itself not performing.

"This is why we have designed the new DI650 Screwgun with a clever depth locator which features a snap on/off nose piece. This allows easy and quick replacement of the sockets but doesn't affect the setting depth so preventing the user overdriving the self drilling fastener. And with the increased power to 650W and a driving speed of 2000RPM, contractors can quickly secure fasteners with confidence and ease".

Developed for use with all roofing and cladding build ups and applications together with a number of additional system solutions, the DI650 Screwgun can be used to fix into steel sections from 1.2mm to 14mm, fastening into composite panel's up to 280mm in length.

The DI650 Screwgun is supplied with a hard plastic case for secured storage and detailed instructions for use.
