Are all product warranties the same?
Many manufacturers offer warranties on their products that they state guarantees the product for up to 25 years. But what does that really mean and aren’t all warranties the same?
Quite simply, no, not all warranties are the same. Terms and conditions can vary widely, as can the remedies offered if a claim is made. Some suppliers will require regular product inspections which may be hazardous or not practical. Some inspections will be required at long intervals that are often overlooked, and if missed subsequent claims are then deemed invalid. Some suppliers will only offer a like for like replacement of a failed item, but a product costing less than a pound could cost hundreds to replace, and that extra cost won't be covered.
